Digital Millennium Copyright Act Notice & Content Takedown Guidelines
1. STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE
FileGuard respects intellectual property rights and adheres strictly to the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). As an automated, ephemeral transmission conduit, FileGuard provides immediate mechanisms to investigate and purge infringing or abusive materials.
2. AUTOMATIC 12-HOUR EXPIRATION CONTEXT
Please note that all files on FileGuard automatically self-destruct within 12 hours of upload. Once 12 hours have elapsed from the upload timestamp, the storage block is permanently and irrevocably deleted from both Backblaze B2 and the PostgreSQL database.
3. SUBMITTING A TAKEDOWN NOTICE
If you believe that copyrighted material has been uploaded without authorization, please submit a notice including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The full FileGuard URL or 8-digit sharing token (e.g.,
https://files.deeptanil.in/XXXX-XXXXor tokenXXXX-XXXX). - Your contact information (name, organization, email address, physical address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate.
4. EXPEDIENT PURGING & REPEAT INFRINGERS
Upon receipt of a valid notice, FileGuard administrators will immediately revoke and permanently purge the target storage block from Backblaze B2. FileGuard reserves the right to terminate access and enforce IP-level blocks against repeat infringers.
